How to get Mew:

You must start a new save file and proceed into the game until you reach professor Oak. The professor will give you your first pokemon to train, and it will have a name other than mew (bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle). Once you receive the pokemon, it will ask you to nickname the character. Name the pokemon mew and it will be listed as the 151st pokemon in the pokedex as "mew 151st." The pokemon will show up and fight as mew from this point on.

Glitch: Getting Mew

Do not fight the gambler facing the house in between Lavender Town and Saffron City. Go to the door of the house and save your game. (You cannot save your game once you have started this or else it will undo the glitch that will give you Mew.) Step towards the gambler and immediately press start. If done correctly you will bring up the start menu before the gambler sees you.

Go to your flying pokemon and fly to Cerulean City. The gambler will then see you but you will fly away. (Start, A, and B buttons will not work during this point). Walk up Nugget Bridge and then go to the 5th trainer after Nugget Bridge (He will be facing up).

He is a youngster with a slowpoke. Defeat his slowpoke, and then your Start, A, and B buttons will function again. Fly back to Lavender Town and walk towards Saffron City. Your menu should pop up by itself. Hit B to exit it, and then you will enter a battle with a Mew, where you can try to capture it.

Glitch: Catching Mew two Before the Pokemon League:

To get Mew two before the Elite Four, talk to the man in Viridian City who teaches you to catch Pokemon. When he asks you if you are in a hurry, say no and watch him catch a Weedle. After that, fly to Fuschia City and head from south there and surf to Seafoam Island. Surf up and down the beach until you find a Missingno.

Do NOT catch him (doing so may crash your game). Kill him or run away. Repeat the process, but this time keep surfing along the beach of Seafoam Island and wild Mew twos should appear. (Note: multiple Mewtwos can appear, and they will have high levels. You may also find other high level pokemon, like level 80 Golducks.)

Dragon follow:

First deposit pikachu then go surf on the right side of cinabar escape any pokemon then go back and insted of pkachu there is a dragonite it will follow you.

Get Mew:

When you are on the S.S. Anne and you have gained cut. Don't leave the ship use the escape rope and the ship will stay on his place. Come back to this area when you have surf. Surf around and find Mew.

Gyrados:

To get this Pokemon, fly to Fuschia and go to the place where you get the Good Rod and go into the backyard and fish with a Super Rod all the way to the right of the ponr. This works most of the time.

Defeat Blaine in water:

First, go to Viridian City and talk to the guy that shows you how to catch pokemon and answer "yes" to his question. Then Fly to Cinnabar Island and surf east from the pokemon center. Surf up and down a lot until you get to him. He'll pop up just like a pokemon would. He will have Missingno and other weird pokemon like that. They are all at level 32.

Bill's secret garden:

Go around the pond in front of Bill's house 10 times. Fly to Viridian City and talk to the man out of town say "yes, I am in a hurry". Fly back to Bill's place go around him 3 times and go to his garden. Submitted by unknown If you go to Pewter City and then surf down you will be at Cinnibar Island.

Get flaron, vaporen ,and jolten and go to bill. He Will say "are these for me" and click yes. He will Take you to bulbasurs garden.

Catch Missing # and give it to Bill and he will let you enter in his secret room and you may catch as many pokemon as you want. After that, catch 15 more of missing #s with 15 masterball next realize them and give them to Prof. Oak and throw all your pokeballs at him. Next Save the game and don't come back till your birthday.

Clone Pokemon:

Ok they had to make it where you could do this on Yellow too! 1. Hook 2 gameboys together 2. One person must have a strong or rare pokemon, and the other person must have a weak and common one. 3. Trade 4. When the trade is almost over it will say waiting. 5. The person who had the rare pokemon 1st turns their GB off, and the other game lets theirs say TRADE COMPLETE. 6. When you turn your gameboys back on you should both have the rare or strong pokemon.

Getting Pikachu to like you Start the game and go to the pc and get the potion. Next when proffessor Oak gives a Pikachu to you, don't leave! Turn around and talk to Pikachu (he will look sad). Use the potion on Pikachu. It will say you can't do it. But try it 5 times and when you talk to him again he will look very happy. Then leave by defeating Gary on the way out.

Getting Pikachu To Evolve Into Raichu.

First you need to go to a pc and change to an empty pokemon box. Deposit Pikachu and then change the box again - when it says 'saving do not turn off power' turn it off and you should now have a pikachu in your box and one on your pokemon list. Re-name the other pikachu Raichu and then use a thunder stone on it. Note: This can also be used to clone other Pokemon like eevee.

Find rare item:

In the pokemon leave front gate (you need all bags when you have to SURF across) go to the little island in the middle of the water. When your on it press the A button after each step and you will find a rare item.

Buy Master Balls For free:

First, go to Cerulean City, go to the cave were mewt wo is and then kill him. Next, go to bill's house, Then go talk to bill and he will ask you to look at his pokemon, Next go get his 4 Favorite pokemon witch are Vapreon, Flareon, Jolteon, and Eevee. Then give them to him, he will take you to a secret garden, and he will let you catch as much pokemon as you want, if you catch an eevee and give it to him, he will give you a receipt to buy master balls for free.

Make your guy fly:

Go to cinnbiar island talk to the old man in the cave in the middle, you will battle him, then talk to him after your done, he says he can fly, you can answer yeah right or you can say I believe you. IF you answer i believe you five times, he'll teach you how to fly.

How To Get A Mew:

Buy or catch a Magikarp at level 5, bring it to to daycare. Leave it there until level 50, and you will get a Mew.

Pokemon Gym Leaders: Brock:

Use water or grass Pokemon against this rock trainer. Misty: Use grass Pokemon or electric to defeat this gym leader. Leiutenant Surge: use a rock or ground Pokemon and he's toast. Erika: Use fire Pokemon or flight against this plant lover and shatter her dreams of fighting you again. Sabrina: Use bug or ghost against this psychomaniac and she is a goner. Koga: This poison Pokemon lover will be defeated easily by using psy Pokemon. Blaine: This fire trainer will use fire Pokemon against you so you can use water or ice. Final boss: Giovanni, the team rocket leader, is the final gym leader - use water, ice, plant and he's out of there (and talk to him again and he says something to you).

Surfing pikachu:

First you need and n64 and a pokemon stadium game. Then in stadium you fight Mewto and go to pokemon stadium and go to master ball(you MUST FIRST BEAT ALL THE TRAINERS IN THE GAME). Using your own pikachu from your own pokemon yellow game beat the first guy, and on the second guy, beat him using your own pikachu and it will learn surf. Load it into your gameboy and talk to the guy on the bottom of Fushica City (where your route to seaform Islands begins) he will say WOW YOUR PIKACHU KNOWS SURF? and say yes and go surfing the waves with pikachu.

Glitch City Go into the Safari Zone and say YES that you want to catch Pokemon. Then, try to leave Safari Zone. When he asks you if you are leaving early, say NO. It will make you walk back into the Safari Zone. Leave again, and once again say NO. When you go back into the Safari Zone, save your game and then shut it off. Turn it back on. Go out of the Safari Zone. This is when the first glitch appears. Instead of asking you if you want to leave early, he asks you if you want to join the hunt. When he asks you this make sure to say NO again.

Walk out of the house and FLY to Cinnabar Island. SURF up and down the coast until there is the gong you usually hear in the Safari Zone. The game then warps you back to the Safari Zone and the warden asks if you had a good haul and so forth. Leave the building, and when you go outside you are in a strange "Glitch City."

It is very easy to get trapped in here, and the different glitches make it hard to move around. Some things to try are fishing, Surfing, and trying to find new paths. Just remember, nothing is what it seems. If you want to get out of the city, you must FLY out and save ( when you have been in this strange city your game will say that you have played in 255 hours and 59 minutes).

Level 100+ Pokemon Follow these instructions to catch pokemon with really high levels. Talk to the old man in Viridian City who shows you how to catch pokemon. Fly directly to Cinnabar Island. Put your strongest pokemon on your team. You might want to save now. Surf on the shore where the land touches water.

Keep Surfing until you run into one of these strong pokemon. These pokemon are well above level 100. Unfortunately, they will revert back to Level 100 if they gain any experience points. Rare Candy is the only thing that raises their level.

When you go to the elite four, if you beat them 7 times, on the seventh time Lance will give you his Dragonite. NOTE: This only works when you have all the ledgendary birds and a mew two, all at LEVEL 100.

Infinite HP Temporarily

Copy the "Catch pokemon over L:100" cheat. When you have that pokemon use the "Infinite Item" cheat and get infinite rare candy. Raise the pokemon over L:100 to L:255 (any higher he will go back down to L:0). Then deposit that pokemon into Bill's PC.

Then take him out again and his level will be between 130 - 150 or so but, his usable HP be more than his MAX HP. When you use rare candies on that pokemon eventually the usable HP will go more then 999 and a funky sign will appear in front of the numbers and the will only be two digits. Then when you fight someone via game link you will temporarily have infinite HP!

Yoshi:

You must have both versions of pokemon to work this code, each game must already have at least 150 pokemon and a firestone.
1) Have the red version of pokemon get a Dratini and trade it to a blue pokemon game
2) Then on the blue game evolve the Dratini to a Dragonite
3) Then have the blue version trade the Dragonite back to the red version of pokemon
4) On the red version game go to the unknown dungeon and surf where you got Mewtwo
5) Use a firestone on the Dragonite and it will evolve into Yoshi (#999)When you try to use the firestone it will say that it is not compatible but it is.

Phantom PC:

Go to Celadon City and go to the Hotel. Then go right, all the way the wall then go to the middle square and face up like you were in a poke center and you were logging onto the PC then press "a" and it will say "Ash(or the name you chose) turned on PC". Also you can access everything like it was a real PC. It's basically an invisible PC.

Fish in Gym:

Go to any pokemon gym and walk up to a statue. Face up and use any of the rods. Each gym has different pokemon so you try them all.

Mewthree:

1. Get a Golem at level 100.
2. Give him a Moon Stone.
3. Teach him these moves in order: Strength, Dig, Sesmic Toss, and Fissure. Top to bottom.
4. Go to the SS.Anne and go to where the truck is off to the left hand side. Use
Strength in front of it, it will fall into th water.
5. Then there will be steps over there walk into them, you will be teleported to
the Silph. Co. pond, and in there you will find Pikablu level 0, Blastoise level 0,
Mewthree level 0. When you catch it, use an escape rope and get out and there
you have it.

Unlimited items:

You probably know this one, but in case you don't, or you need a better description. To get your items duplicated, go to Veridian City and go north and talk to th little man who shows you how to catch Pokémon, and answer NO to his question. After his 'lesson', Fly to Cinnibar Isl. and walk to the right edge. Surf up and down the coast of the right edge until you run into Missingno.

He's a glitch in the game, so pay no mind to him. Don't catch him, because if you do, there is about a 90% chance your game will mess up. Just fight him or run. Make sure the item you want duplicated is in the sixth slot of your item box. You can have unlimited rare candies, iron, calcium, master balls, poké balls, escape ropes, whatever. Not keys or bikes or rods or anything like that though. Just power ups and balls, and help items.

Extra Coins:

In the Celedon gambling corner, ask various people at the machines, and some will give you money, and if that's not enough, scroll all around the whole floor pressing A at every tile, and you should stumble across several coins. You can find 10, 20, even 100 coins.

Get a Pokeball to Work Like a Master Ball When the Pokeball leaves your hand, hold Up + B.

Quicker Evolution:

To make your pokemon evolve or grow quicker trade to a friend a traded pokemon earns more points than a regular pokemon once its done you can trade back.

Missingno, aka Pokemon #000:

First have a pokemon with surf and surf up and down the east coast of cinnabar islands. Before you can fight Missingno. You have to go in the first door inside the pokemon lab on Cinnibar Island and trade with one of the trainers in there.

Eventually you might fight called missingno. It does lots of damage but is easy to kill. It looks like a mass of dots flying around. Just throw balls at it to catch it.It is number 000 in the pokedex and doesn't have an entry. It has a high attack but all its other stats are really low.

Fight Safari Pokemon Elsewhere:

To fight and capture Safari Zone Pokemon outside of the park, first go into the park. Let the time run out when you're standing in a patch of grass which holds the Pokemon you want to catch.

Step back outside and use FLY to Fly back to Cinnabar Island. Using SURF, surf up and down the right side of the shoreline, where you are half on shore and half in the water. You should then enter some battles with Safari Zone Pokemon! No more bait or rocks!

Duplicate Items:

Put the item you want to be duplicated number six on the items list. Then go to Viridian city and talk yo the guy that shows you how to catch pokemon. With the silph scope on your items list also, go to cinnabar island and surf along the east coast so your body is half on water half on land.

The first pokemon that shows up should be an unknown pokemon named missingo, run away from him right away! Now go to the sixth item on the list and there will be a blob next to a number indicating you have over 99 of that item. Do this with nuggets to get infinite money; with rare candies to get all your pokemon at level hundred; and with the moon stone or any other item.

Unlimited Masterballs:

When you get the Masterball, do the "Duplicate Items". Now you can catch any pokemon without having to fight and weaken it first. Just remember to do the cheat again when you get low.
